KAUST Welcomes Thousands Of New Visitors
New staff, new students, faculty members, government agencies, dignitaries, and partners. Currently, the initial welcome for those visitors is conventional and traditional, and not in line with the spirit of innovation that infuses KAUST. Our proposed Welcome Center will elevate this experience. The KAUST Welcome Center will allow the visitors tap into KAUST spirit in a single location from the outset of their engagement. Importantly, the location of the Welcome Center within the building that also houses our Museum of Science and Technology in Islam; the Museum tells the story of the Golden Age of Islamic science and positions KAUST in the long tradition of innovation in Islamic scientific heritage. The Museum receives large numbers of visitors each year and successfully engages independent adult visitors, school groups and family groups.
